Mi amigo,

I sat down with all my art supplies scattered about me and spent my afternoon painting whatever I felt like, and this is one of those.

I felt calm. There was nothing else going on in my mind. It was just my paintbrush and I, perfectly happy in our solitude.

Should I tell you how I made this? All right. It's simple. Take a piece of paper of any size you like. Take a ziplock bag and paint it with any colour of your choice and then place the bag on the sheet of paper and spread the paint using your fingers and then, carefully, take off the bag from the sheet. You'll see a beautiful splash of colour on the sheet. Let it dry. And then draw or write, whatever you want, on it. Sounds easy, right?

Oh by the way, don't forget to wipe the ziplock bag and keep it back where you took it from because you will need it again.

Art doesn't have to be perfect. Remember these words of Salvador Dalí—while making art, and in life in general—"Have no fear of perfection, you'll never reach it."

The point I'm trying to make is that anyone can draw and paint, if they really want to. The beautiful thing about art is that you don't, necessarily, have to be good at it, you just have to enjoy the process.

So why don't you pick up a pencil or a brush today and make some art? I'm sure you'll be transported back to the time when you were little and life was simpler. Let's add a splash of colour in our lives.

Thank you for reading.
