At a breakneck pace

Hello, beloved reader.

Books, especially thrillers, that move at a breakneck pace, and keep you turning the pages until you finish them are quite exciting.

However, sometimes even life seems to be moving at a breakneck pace, and you feel like you can't get a handle on it, and when that happens you realise that instead of being exciting, it's actually quite draining.

Unlike a fast-paced thriller, I'm in no hurry to turn the pages of my life in haste, even if it means waiting longer than I wish to. Instead of a fast-paced thriller, I'd rather like my life to be like a slow-burn romance.
