Do you remember how when we were little we were given a box of crayons to play with? Sometimes we drew on paper, sometimes on the walls. We were all pretty creative.

Then we grew up and our box of crayons was replaced by thick, mostly black and white books.

I, too, had to put away my art supplies and give my undivided attention to studies. Education took precedence over everything else, and I forgot all about my crayons.

During the nationwide lockdown, however, I found a reservoir of time that needed to be filled so I grabbed that chance with my tiny paws and took out my art supplies.

This bookmark is special. I made it with hands that trembled slightly because they hadn't held a brush in so long. But I loved every second of it.

It made me forget about the incessant ticking of time. I felt full, happy, and content; and as easy as it may sound; that feeling is hard to come by.

Now that I am a little older and slightly wiser and I can manage my time better, I make art almost every day. I have reclaimed my 'box of crayons', you should, too; whatever it may be. If it is something that makes you happy then take out ten minutes for it today. Let's forget the marching of time for a few minutes. Let's feel full. Let's do something for the soul.

Thank you for reading. Now you go get 'em.
Sending you love and sunshine.
