Hey, sweet potato.

At the beginning of this week, I wrote "carpe diem quam minimum credula postero"—which can be translated as "pluck the day, trusting as little as possible in the next one"—on a sticky note and pasted it right in front of my table, so I'd see it multiple times a day, especially when I'd get distracted from work.

It's not like I hadn't been seizing my days earlier, but now that I am old enough to have identified my priorities, I've been doing it purposefully, and that has made all the difference. This bookmark represents my priorities at this juncture in my life.

I've been arduously trying to have a full day, every single day—I say full, not good because that would be delusional, I know that some days will be bad, things will go wrong. Thus, instead of chasing good days I'd rather have full days—days that are filled with all the things I love doing. I will devote my time to people I deeply care about.

Life is transient and my days here are limited, which makes each day invaluable. I will appreciate each day that will be given to me and grab all the good opportunities that come my way. I am going to enjoy myself while I have the chance.

What would your tree look like?

Thank you for reading.
