Hello, treasure.
After adulting the whole day, I finally sat down at night to read "The Phantom of the Opera" by Gaston Leroux, and immediately plunged into that world.
I read later than my bedtime and I'd have read more and even finished it if I could but I had to wake up early in the morning, so I begrudgingly kept it down, while I was roughly in the middle of it, and turned off the lights.
When the lights were out, I noticed a shadow outside the room which looked scary, and I knew it was a figment of my imagination and the only reason I even noticed it was because of what I'd been reading that night. I stared at it for a couple of seconds and then I did what any self-respecting adult would've done in that situation—pulled the covers over my head and slept like a baby.
Face your demons? Nuh-uh! Ignore them, they hate that. Pull a prank on the demons and let them wait around all night, only for you to wake up at the crack of dawn, which is their disappearing time by the way; I don't make the rules. And then you'll wake up all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed.
Thank you for reading.
