Hello, beloved reader.
After all this time, I read 'Peter and Wendy' by J. M. Barrie. I'd heard of Peter, Wendy, Tinker Bell and Hook but it was the first time I was reading the book, and it was a magical read.
Peter wants to remain a little boy and have fun. He doesn't want to grow up and become a man. Can we blame him? Who in their right mind would want to grow up. However, unlike Peter, we have to grow up but hear me out. How about being grown-up, and still possessing a childlike curiosity and appetite for adventure?
The line that has stayed with me after reading the book in its entirety is this—"...Peter did not know in the least who or what he was, which is the very pinnacle of good form." I find myself still thinking about this line, it crosses my mind every now and then. It makes me wonder what all wonderful things we would be capable of if we'd just stop being confined by the idea of who we are supposed to be.
Thank you for reading.
